No Black Friday here, and I agree with your views. I love Advent, and the opportunity it gives to prepare ones heart.

I love this idea, Kelli! I’m excited to see all you post during this time.
Though, I don’t think your post takes into account those of us who hit Black Friday with others in mind with the intent of giving a thoughtful gift to celebrate Christ’s birth.
Black Friday/Cyber Monday isn’t about getting things for yourself. It’s about making your dollar stretch to be able to show love for others through gift.
Maybe someday I’ll be as crafty as you and able to make all of my gifts. It’s now officially a goal!

I agree with your views on the Christmas season, too. I don’t need anything either and was not out in the rat race this weekend. But I will be out there soon, buying some gifts (because I’m just not as crafty as you). I look forward to your Adventathon and trying some of your ideas. No sewing machine, though (but someday when we clean out a little clutter I would like to get one to do simple projects).

YAY!!! There is nothing I like better than a heartfelt season. I look forward to your projects!! This one will be great for a roadtrip for my seven year old. I have also been simplifying the past year. I celebrate the Christ Light in all of us!
