what a great collection of stamps of different countries and memories. i too look at my passport with fond memories…last year i had to apply for extra pages.

Before you turn in your passport, photo copy it via a scanner and print it out. You can reconstruct one that way for your scrapbook.

There is a line from a cartoon my son used to watch called “little Monsters” that I loved a lot.

“IF you go through life with your eyes wide open, you’ll never go home empty handed!”

That is so true. We come home with so many things, stories, memories, new thoughts, adventures, new friends, and so much more. You’re a lucky gal to be able to travel so much. Oh the stories you could tell, and I’m sure, have.

Great new header! I too love my passport. As a child I never would have imagined that I would have a passport let alone a fine collection of stamps in it. I grew to really appreciate it while traveling in Europe in the mid 90’s. While some of my friends with passports from other nations were harassed at border checks, we Americans sailed through. It really is a valuable document. I once met a photographer for Nat. Geographic. His passport had extra sheets that unfolded like an accordion. Yup, a used passport is just one sign of a life well lived.

Wow, you have traveled a lot of places! How sad that you have to turn in your old passport when you get a new one. (I think you do, anyway?) It would be a great souvenir.

You’ve travelled so far, my trips are limited within Europe borders, but me too, I thinks the best money spending is for travels! Oh….have I read Italy? ……
