This was fun to read. And if I may say something about your internal war of thinking youre materialistic…..Abraham (from the bible) was a very weathly man…God fit to have him as a very important person and called him his friend…why?…because his heart was with God and wasnt with the money and neither is yours. You are a very sweet young lady who has a loving heart. It is okay to like nice things. But your heart doesnt serve nice things…you have shown all how you really serve the meek of the earth.

Anyway…hope I didnt shove my foot into my mouth by typing so much:)

If you want to sign up for IMAZ 09, you need to sign up to volunteer this year. That way you know you can register on Monday. Given that there was onsite signup for two ’08 races, I don’t expect to see much if any online availability.

Plus, you can come out and cheer for me.

I love the gift you received – so beautiful and so thoughtful. Wasn’t the DC Green Festival fun? I am so glad I met you! That is a wonderful gift. I love scrapbooking. You can often come up with such neat things and keepsakes.

I’ve been meaning to ask you, what brand of camera do you use? Your pictures always come out so nice and bright. My old vivatar has about had it and I’ve been browsing the stores for a new one, but not sure which one I want.

Very interesting, Kelli. Thanks for being so transparent. I understand the unexplainable attraction to bling. I am not a jewelry or fussy person. I like to think I’m a what-you-see-is-what-you-get gal. But I have crow eyes. Crows will dive to pick up shiny things on the ground, like the old gum wrappers. You find all sorts of shiny things in a crow’s nest that they have scavenged from the world. So that is my excuse, if I need one, for being drawn to bling that goes completely against the rest of my character.

Ah, Kelli. The trait of finding something you love in everyone you meet is a true gift. While it might have not served you well romantically–yet–it has given you wonderful friends from around the world and from every walk of life. What more could one want? Think of how sad life is for those who see only negative traits and things that are wrong.
