Sunday Dessert
I’m not a huge fan of bananas, cream pies or spending $20 on fancy ingredients for one recipe, but when I saw the photos of this banana cream pie with a whole wheat chocolate crust in the February issue of Bon Appetite, I knew I’d soon be putting my dislikes aside. Too many new techniques to learn to pass this recipe by.
Something tells me this will receive five out of five bananas, absoloodle.
Reviews manana. Off to dine with Tarzan. Okay, not really, but the thought made me laugh.

I love banana cream pie, but not with actual chunks of banana in it. Weird no? The whole wheat chocolate crust sounds healthy!

February 25th, 2008 at 6:35 amAre you really not a fan of bananas? Funnily enough, I’m really interested in the answer to that question - mainly because I HATE them, and have never found another person who didn’t like them.
Which amazes me - because pretty much with every other food, you can find someone or another who doesn’t like it. But I’ve never met anyone (besides myself) who claims to dislike bananas.
So - inquiring minds want to know - love ‘em or loathe ‘em???
(and - btw - your pie looks fab. Except for the banana part…)

February 25th, 2008 at 1:40 pmOh, shoot, that’s too bad it wasn’t good. I was actually going to make that very recipe when I saw it in my magazine. I had the page open, magazine sitting on my table for about a week thinking I would make it.
