Happy New Year Kelli! I was so touched to get a Christmas card from you… it made my day and arrived on the first day we had our mail service resumed after our big storm. Opening my mailbox and seeing something your card was an instant rainbow on a dark day. I heart you!

Love the NYT op/ed piece and totally feel the same way. TOTALLY!

Good morning, Kelli! I myself just woke up about an hour ago (7:15) after having gone to sleep, under a book, at 9 pm. Kindred sleep spirits! And I would bet that I could take a nap right now!!

I’m very good at sleeping, I can do that without any effort! At 9.00pm I can feel my brain simply switch off, you can talk to me, try to impress me in any way, but you won’t succed. Only thing is go out with friends, and I can resist till midnight, but don’t look at me the day after.

Oh my goodness! Is that little furball of love your own? What a sweet face.

I too am a sleep professional. I can do it for hours under the right conditions. Some people really just need more sleep than others, and there is nothing wrong with that at all. I do need to do better at timing my sleep however so I don’t sleep my days away… but that’s another story.

He’s so cute! Did you just get him?!?!?!?! Anywho, I am a napper, too. And a sleeper. I usually fall asleep around 8 or 9 and if I don’t, I actually get a little panicky! ha! On the weekends I take a nap in the afternoons. My dad is the same way…..

I couldn’t agree more that the best thing about 2008 is going to be A NEW PRESIDENT.

And sleeping in any form of transportation is NOT my forte! But at home? That I can do.

That dog is ADORABLE! As for sleeping, I have to get 8 hours. Love it-don’t care what I’m missing. I also agree that people should get out and vote. Apathy is the reason that politicians get away with so much. People would rather focus on Brittany Spears than the leaders that are making decisions for us and our country. I once heard that many men could name every player on their favorite baseball team and quote their individual statistics as well, yet couldn’t name 5 cabinet members of the current administration. Not to pick on men, it’s just the example I heard. I would guess that an equal number of women couldn’t name 5 either. Sad, but true. VOTE!!!It’s a privilege many people in the world to not have.

My folks used to drag me to cholla bay when they had a weekend off. I hated the trip but always had a good time on the beach or fishing in the ocean.

As to napping; I picked up this habit when I was in the Air Force of sleeping whenever I got the chance and to this day I can snooze for ten minutes and wake refreshed, ready to go. My wife finds this very disconcerting. She can not understand how anyone can sleep for less that twelve hours and feel invigorated!

When do us curmudgeons at Einstein’s get to meet Nico?
He looks like a cutie. Bring him on by and we’ll spoil him for you. By the by, what does Ruby think of Nico? Have you acquired a kayak and does she have a name?
