They are an incredible group providing food to those in need in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties. We work with them every year and it's great to see what they can provide to those in need. Using this site more than pays for my newspaper, but it also lists products that are free or nearly free due to sales and coupons that food cupboards can use. It's a small thing to pick up a few cheap (or free) items each trip to the grocery store. Great ideas Kelli.

I used to rent kitchen space from a Food Bank and witnessed first hand how amazing the employees and volunteers are. I am so thankful for everything they do. The granola looks so yummy. We made consumable gifts this year as well. Although, it was alcohol (kahlua, limoncello and cranberry sipping drink). I will definitely remember to use my recycled jars next year. Our local news just did a report on this very subject. They said that the food banks are suffering severe shortages and cannot meet the needs of the community. I think I'll go write a check to our local food bank. Thanks for the inspiration! My family would shoot me if I didn't deliver my famous honey shortbread every year.
