Reunion Remix
The reunion was fun and strange. What an odd mix of emotions I wasn’t expecting! Needless to say, the new shoes made it worth attending.
Running this morning felt entirely different too. I didn’t have that little superficial voice in the back of my head growling, “Faster! You have reunion pants to fit into!” They fit fine, temporarily quieting my internal critic. Otherwise, I’m rather happy I’m not booking another trip down memory lane for 10 years.

The new shoes are amazing..I love the photo of the day and the flickr notes, too. Glad the reunion was fun!
October 8th, 2007 at 10:42 amI guarantee you had the hottest shoes there. Belle of the ball I’d imagine…
Welcome back to normal life where high school is only a distant memory.
October 8th, 2007 at 10:57 amWell, I’m glad that you and your sassy shoes had fun; I’ll want to hear more about the strange part, although that’s a pretty good description of most reunions in my book.
October 8th, 2007 at 11:08 amWell, your shoes look fabulous and your pants fit so no matter how strange the reunion might have been, you were totally awesome.
October 8th, 2007 at 12:20 pmYour reunion shoes rock!! Way to go for actually going to your reunion, I avoided my last one
October 8th, 2007 at 12:37 pmkelli,
speaking from experience, the 20th reunion is WAY more fun than the 10th! People will have changed in more dramatic and satisfying ways, and I had much more fun at that one than I did at the 10th…which was also weird and i was sort of glad to get back to my own life after i went.
p.s. The shoes ROCK!

October 8th, 2007 at 2:11 pmThose shoes are TOO DIE FOR! I never went to my 10th reunion. A lot of people are still in touch with each other. I, on the other hand, couldn’t wait to get ON WITH MY LIFE already! LOL!
October 8th, 2007 at 2:22 pmLoving the shoes!
October 8th, 2007 at 2:22 pmMy 20th reunion was a couple years ago. (that seems impossible, but it’s true. sigh.) Anyway, I couldn’t bring myself to go. Would have loved to be a fly on the wall though.
Wow, great reunion look. Wish I’d been that snazzy at my Ten-year. Well, the twenty-year will be here in 4 years, so I have some time to get it together.
October 8th, 2007 at 2:55 pmThe shoes are HOT!!
October 8th, 2007 at 4:04 pmfab shoes!
October 8th, 2007 at 4:31 pmi’m still curious about my reunion that i skipped… feeling tempted to go to the next one and just see what’s what. alternatively, spend hours on google
xo
I would like to hear more too! love the shoes.
October 8th, 2007 at 6:05 pmLove the shoes too.. and the red earrings are a nice sassy touch.
October 8th, 2007 at 6:29 pmI’ve never gone to one my reunions. High school wasn’t a bad experience, but there is something about the reunion that I find a bit terrifying. So, congrats on going and on feeling great!
Cute, cute, cute!!! Especially with the red toenails.
October 8th, 2007 at 8:08 pmThose shoes rock…I haven’t ever been to a school reunion and don’t care to go either. Good for you…ciao:)
October 8th, 2007 at 10:25 pmfabulous shoes girlfriend!
October 9th, 2007 at 4:36 amThose shoes look great with the red polish!!!!!!
October 9th, 2007 at 5:04 amIt’s amazing that some people never change. Mine was that way. Love the shoe’s.
October 9th, 2007 at 5:16 amLike everyone else, I adore your new shoes!
Annnnd, I’ve declared it Apple Appreciation Week. Go love an apple this week, take pictures, blog it out and stuff your face.
October 9th, 2007 at 6:22 amYou are braver than I, my friend. I have yet to attend a reunion. And I’ve now been out of high school longer than I was in school to start with, but I’m still not ready to go there. Issues? Um, yeah.
And my high school boyfriend is a cardiologist.
October 9th, 2007 at 7:06 amI have never attended a reunion, and I doubt I ever will. It takes about 15 seconds thinking about high school to make me feel completely insecure and awkward. Life is difficult enough for me without inviting that kind of angst! The shoes look great though!
October 9th, 2007 at 7:14 amGreat shoes!! I’m one of those who will never go to my high school reunions. Hope you had fun, along with all those unexpected emotions!
October 9th, 2007 at 8:09 amYes! the shoes look great! Worth going i am sure!
October 9th, 2007 at 12:28 pmYour look was great! I usually enjoy very much our annual class reunion, we laugh all the time remembering old tricks and funny moments.
October 9th, 2007 at 11:42 pmThank you for your last comment on my blog.
My 10 year reunion is next year, and they’re already planning it… I’m undecided on whether to go or not. I liked high school too, but I don’t necessarily miss anyone. Sure I’m a little curious, but a whole evening of awkward chatting? Doesn’t sound all that fun to me.
October 10th, 2007 at 7:46 amthose shoes are awesome! glad you enjoyed your reunion–i’ve not been to any of mine. maybe next time around, with fabulous shoes
October 11th, 2007 at 9:01 amRockin’ shoes Kelli!
October 12th, 2007 at 11:02 amVery sexy toes.. ooohhhh la la!
Now, if I could only walk in such high heels!
Let me tell you that I would NOT look sexy walking around with those shoes… dorky would be more like it! LOL
Have a great weekend!
[…] When Donna emailed in August asking if I’d be interested in a Secret Santa Swap, I thought, “Sure!” I didn’t have to mail anything until December and that seemed so far away. October was kinda busy. And then November rolled around and I got wrapped up in Urban Dares and ditching Ruby for a kayak. Even though Donna has got this international swap exceptionally organized and even kept us all up to date with postal delivery times around the world, I started sewing yesterday. It needed to be in the mail tomorrow. Procrastination is how I roll. […]
