Fall is my favorite season. I'm going to steal these recipes. That green chicken chili you made once was the bomb. I could have sworn you were talking about the heat no more than a week ago. But it's still weirdly hot up in the Bay Area, and in Chicago, too. 90 degrees hot. It's weirdly disjunctive to have these summer-hot days that already seem winter-short. I bought some chopped pumpkin chunks at the grocery store and stealthily slipped them in the refrigerator... when Ale, my resident chef, didn't take the hint, I pre-ordered this morning at breakfast: "Can you puhlleeeese make me your pumpkin soup tonight?
