Happy St. Patrick’s Day!
If you are looking for an easy green treat to feed your loved ones today, try these pistachio cookies. They’ll take 20 minutes including clean up time and be gone in no time flat.
{Cute new spatula was a spring gift from my friend John. Chirp!}
Ireland is one of the prettiest places I’ve ever visited. I’d love to return and spend more time in Galway and Cork in particular. In the meantime, it’s green Ace Pear Cider and cookies for all!

Galway’s the best. A lot of people visit Dublin and think that’s typical Ireland, when it couldn’t be further from the truth. Happy Paddy’s Day!
March 17th, 2007 at 10:49 amPrecious spatella…where did he get it?
March 17th, 2007 at 4:10 pmHappy St. Patrick’s Day, Kelli! I spent the morning leading a birding fieldtrip for Tucson Audubon Society–we had a grand time. In the published trip description, I told them that if they wore a bit o’ the green, then I would give them a treat. I found yummy little wrapped St. Pat’s mints and gave those out.
March 17th, 2007 at 5:30 pmHow cool is your spatula!!!
Unfortunately I don’t like pistachio nuts. In fact I don’t like nuts at all I always think that they taste like wood … not that I actually eat wood either !

March 18th, 2007 at 12:06 pmBoston is a very Irish town, and my husband, well he likes to imagine he is right off the boat. Ireland is a beautiful country, as you know. Some of our favorite parts were, the Aran Islands, we slept in a thatch roof cottage, the Dingle Peninsula is breathtaking and Kinsale, mere words cannot describe. The Irish people, the Irish pubs, the Irish landscape, they all make for a wonderful vacation. I can’t wait to go back.
I will save this recipe for next year I think it will go well with green beer.
Looks very yummy!
