Name that movie
I drive by this crane every day on my way home from work and laugh every single day thinking of one of my favorite movies.
“A gun rack… a gun rack. I don’t even own *a* gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack. What am I gonna do… with a gun rack?”
~K

Party on Wayne.
Party on Garth.
OK!

January 31st, 2007 at 8:51 amJust who names these things anyway? It kills me that someone would name a crane that pours cement when, ahem, “erect” would call it Schwing. Your kidding right? And if it wasn’t intentional, that means that the guy who started the company’s last name was Schwing, which is hilarious in its own right. Those are the only 2 logical explanations.
January 31st, 2007 at 9:37 amKinda reminds me of driving by Dick’s Driveshaft Shop on the way to work everyday. High comedy.
LOL!! That is just too funny… but hey, free advertising for them in the movie.
January 31st, 2007 at 9:52 amWayne’s World Wayne’s World….
January 31st, 2007 at 10:31 amDuh Jessica. I read this and looked at the picture and was so confused. I had no idea what you were talking about! I clicked the picture and it took me to flicker where the pic was titled “wayne’s world” and I thought to myself…I don’t remember any cranes in Wayne’s World. While I was thinking about how I work at a crane rental company and I don’t get the guns, crane, Wayne’s World reference I read the word on the crane. Schwing!!! LOL
There’s this steel company that uses us often and on their fax their logo says “We are proud of our erection”. Hehe

January 31st, 2007 at 11:18 amWAYNE’S WORLD! WAYNE’S WORLD! PARTY TIME! EXCELLENT! That is too funny! I’m assuming Schwing is someone’s last name, sucks to be them, muah!
January 31st, 2007 at 11:41 amWow! That takes me back. I saw WW when I moved to London. I swear, I was the only one in the theater laughing during some parts. Obviously some parts were location humor. I had the same experience watching True Lies in India. There I was the only one laughing during 90% of the movie - and that just made me laugh harder. It still makes me giggle to think of it.
January 31st, 2007 at 12:01 pmso sorry to report that i have no clue about the gun rack line.
January 31st, 2007 at 2:13 pmShyuh! Like it’s only one of the ‘most excellent’ movies of all time…

January 31st, 2007 at 8:16 pmHi. I’m in Delaware.
January 31st, 2007 at 8:27 pmYou won´t believe this but I work for the company “Schwing”…I teach english there and also translate business letters and brochures for them. The company is named after the owner Friedrich Wilhelm Schwing. I´ll have to remember that “erection” slogan for my next translation!
February 1st, 2007 at 12:41 amIt’s actually not a crane… but a concrete pump truck… it pumps concrete into hard to reach places…
One time I was on a site and one of the hoses came loose and it rained concrete on myself and the entire crew… not too fun…
